Good Advice: Using Social Media for Project Management

Bas de Baar from Project Shrink posted a great presentation on why and how best to use social media to help manage a collaboration project.

Some of his best advice (attributed to others when appropriate) include:

  • Bad communication is typically the project killer.
  • A document on a shared workspace is not a conversation.
  • Group affiliation creates strong bonds. This builds trust. Trust improves communication.

Focus especially on his advice for project managers on slides 34-44.
